Local stations still come out with some Christmas commercials with the news team but this commercial is pretty unique. For some 20 years the weatherman had a hand puppet sidekick called Albert the Alley Cat, he was extremely popular and is featured prominently in commercials. I grew up with this so it didn't seem odd, but looking back that's just odd. The new report would change from an murder or natural disaster to a cloth weather man joking around?
